About brass:
Brass has many hardwearing qualities and is very durable. Corrosion and rust-resistant, it will not corrode, rust or tarnish easily. It is also known to be hypoallergenic - therefore suitable for those with metal allergy or sensitive skin.
Brass is deeply rooted in Korean history. Especially during the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), Bangjja (방짜), also called Yugi (유기) tableware was commonly used notably by the families of royalties and nobles for its superb quality and beautiful lustre. Today, brass may be found in some high-end traditional Korean establishments, as well as in handcrafted jewellery.
About 16K gold-plating:
16K gold is 66.6% pure gold and 33.4% other metals mixed. A durable option for everyday jewellery while having a higher gold content vs 14K, giving it a slightly richer and more exquisite colour. A higher gold content also makes it more hypoallergenic, better for our clients with sensitive skin and metal allergies.
