Story Of Hadong
Early 2024, an exciting collaboration around artisanal Korean teas began between Antea Social and Saero Collective as both brands visited Hadong, famous for its wild tea farms. Located south of the peninsula in Gyeongsang province, Hadong is nestled within Jirisan, the highest mountain on South Korea's mainland.
To the locals, Jirisan is known as the grandmother mountain, with its wide range spanning across three different provinces, enveloping all the local villages like a warm embrace. Located near Seomjingang River and Hwagaecheon Stream, the wild tea farms in Hadong have foggy, humid conditions and a wide daily temperature range, making it optimal for tea growing.
Run by family-owned farmers who have been friends for decades, Hadong has a close-knit tea-loving community. Every year during harvest season in March, local grandmothers carefully hand-pick tea leaves on the difficult terrain of Jirisan’s cliffs. Because of its wild nature, Hadong teas are not easily available outside South Korea due to limited production.
4 flavours of Korean teas, all made with native ingredients from Hadong and neighbouring villages have been created. Through every sip, experience the Warmth of Hadong.
Story Of Jecheon
Jecheon, a scenic city in North Chungcheong Province often called South Korea’s “healing city,” is celebrated for its natural beauty, clean air, and rich tradition of medicine and wellness. Nestled among inland mountains and lakes, Jecheon's climate is an ideal environment for quality herb cultivation long valued since ancient times. It is home to a vibrant oriental medicine culture, lively herbal markets and annual health festivals where nature and healing meet.
The latest addition to the Korean tea collection is Jecheon's Hwanggi-cha, a traditional Korean tea with roasted, nutty notes. Caffeine-free and cherished as a natural remedy for its health benefits, it can be enjoyed daily as a nourishing tea that blends tradition with a sense of grounding comfort.
With every sip, experience the Warmth of Korea
