Sejak Premium Green Tea

Woojeon and Sejak are regarded as premium green teas in Korea, often commanding higher prices due to their exceptional quality. Sejak (세작), which translates to "thin sparrow" in Korean, refers to the delicate, young tea leaves harvested in late April to early May. These teas are characterised by a gentle infusion, offering fresh green notes with minimal astringency and bitterness. The tea liquor is smooth and velvety, with a slightly thick mouthfeel that enhances the drinking experience. (Personally, we find this tea imparts a soothing, energising sensation.)

Mr Gu believes that his green tea captures all of Nature’s good energy in a cup. Dedicating his entire life to cultivating tea, he is always found deep within the slopes of his tea farm; planting young trees with his bare hands, cutting and tending to tea plants, or simply enjoying a cup of tea on a picnic mat on his plantation under the skies. He is extremely aware and appreciative of what nature has given him. Despite decades in the tea business, he believes there is no limit to learning in life and one must always be open to embrace new ways.
